Senior Care Center Churches are Re-Opening!

We are joyful to announce that after our long forced absence due to COVID19,  Hayesville House nursing home re-opened on June 9th for our worship service, Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.  On June 24th, Chatuge Care Center in Hiawassee likewise re-opened for our worship service on Fridays, at 10:00 a.m.  The  residents are overjoyed to worship the Lord and celebrate Holy Communion with our lay ministers.  It is an incredible miracle to see the faces of the residents, so long denied by the pandemic, able to worship once again, and raise their voices in song!

We don’t have a date yet, however, we’re working with Tusquittee senior care center in Tusquittee, NC and Covenant House in Murphy, NC to re-start our visits and services there very soon.  Please pray that we may re-join the seniors in the last two care homes.

Potluck- Q&A- Search Update. -O’Malley’s farewell

Sunday, June 26, after our second service we will have a potluck brunch. If you are able, please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share.

We will have a Q&A and an update on the search  regarding a pastor. This is also the O’Malleys farewell to our Christ the King Church family as they retire and move to be with their kids and grandkids. We pray for a wonderful new adventure for them and many, many blessings!

June Ladies luncheon @ Shoebooties

We had a great time together talking, laughing and enjoying our food.   We were glad to have Debbie O’Malley with us for her last luncheon before their  move to their new home in VA.  Looking for suggestions for next months restaurant…it must be able to seat 20-25 ladies for lunch.
